Antler Ridge has a simple philosophy: Create the best wines and offer our customers the best experience possible when they visit any one of our stores. When you visit Antler Ridge, you will see Antler Ridge's state-of-the-art tank room. Each of our tanks are electronically controlled to maintain our wines at precise temperatures during the various stages of production. White wines are fermented slowly and at cool temperatures, a process that produces a tantalizing taste on the palate. Red wines are fermented "on the skins" just long enough to bring out flavorful tannins and rich colors. The reds are then aged in French and American oak barrels until they are ready to be bottled. We enjoy catering to the home wine makers with supplies and juice. We offer help to those just starting and share stories with those of you who are professionals. Having started out as a home wine maker over 20 years ago, Steve and Jared understand what it is like to make wine from scratch and offers all the help they can for new comers to the art of winemaking.

A family vineyard is located on the south face of the Pocono Escarpment in the western corner of Monroe County. Situated in the northeastern most section of the Appalachian Plateau physiographic region we have more in common with areas further to the west than we do with our neighbors to the south in the Lehigh Valley (part of the Appalachian Valley and Ridge physiographic region. The great glaciers had a profound effect on our soils, depositing glacial drift, combined with the naturally occurring slate and shale reminds us of the Mosel in Germany. As vineyards go we are about as far north as you can get and still grow the grapes we do without the benefit of a large body of water to moderate the extremes in temperature. The south-facing slopes of our main vineyard capture what the winter sun offers, and along with the slate/shale soils, variety of grape and the manner in which we grow them, help insure a mature, healthy crop. But mother nature has a more profound influence on the character of our wines than the currently more popular regions grape growing world.

Joe and Vickie would like to raise a glass with you at their Blue Mountain Vineyards. For over 24 years, Blue Mountain has produced a wide range of wines produced from grapes grown in the Lehigh Valley's New Tripoli, PA. In 1986 Joe and Vickie planted the initial vineyard of 5 acres consisting of French Hybrid varietals, such as Chambourcin, Vignoles, and Vidal Blanc. However, through research and experience they had discovered that the Lehigh Valley provides an excellent micro-climate for growing not only French Hybrid grapes, but also European varietals due to well drained soil and our terrain being very much like Europe. Therefore, in 1988 the winery expanded the vineyard another 5 acres, planting Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay, and have continued adding this acreage to it's present 50 acres.
Pinnacle Ridge Winery, situated in the heart of idyllic "Pennsylvania Dutch Country," is located along Old Route 22 outside of Kutztown, Pennsylvania. In 1993, Brad Knapp established the winery, housed in a beautifully renovated Pennsylvania bank barn, originally built in 1851. The thick stone foundation provides cool, stable temperatures year-round…ideal conditions for the production and aging of wine. The processing area, which includes French and American oak barrels and stainless steel tanks, is entirely visible from the lower level tasting room. The sparkling wines are produced in what was once a potato cellar, near the barn. The winemaking philosophy at Pinnacle Ridge is one of minimal intervention using traditional methods. This approach ensures that the unique flavors produced in our vineyards are retained and showcased in our award-winning wines. At Pinnacle Ridge, only locally grown grapes are used to make our sparkling and table wines. The grapes are primarily grown in our estate vineyard and at nearby Round Ridge Farms, both in Berks County. The vineyards are located on shale-filled hillsides which promote small crops of very high quality grapes, steeped with local character.
